Fridays for Future

Fridays for Future is a global movement of students who support climate protection.

The movement was initiated by Swedish schoolgirl and climate activist Greta Thunberg. Her school strikes call for a commitment to the climate goals of the 2015 Paris Agreement. They set off worldwide protests organized by students, which always take place on Fridays during school hours. Seeking to ensure a world that future generations can thrive in, the activists’ central demand is for political leaders to fi nally take action on climate policy. The screens show Greta Thunberg’s speeches in Davos and Katowice, as well as a video from the Austrian Fridays for Future movement.
