mindBEAGLE is a brain-computer interface that can be used for patients who are in a vegetative state or suffering from disturbance of consciousness, locked-in syndrome, or ALS, a motor-neuron disease.
mindBEAGLE uses auditory and tactile stimulation to determine the patients‘ state of consciousness and ability to perceive. If patients are able to perceive the stimuli, mindBEAGLE can help to establish a yes-or-no communication system.
