Mission Control not only provides an overview of the offers, tasks and goals of the ESA and its institutions, but also of how space travel and space research enrich our everyday lives, and finally,Ā Austria’s contribution to space research and utilization.Ā 

Space is essential to our daily lives. In addition to satellites that enable us to communicate worldwide, navigate precisely, conduct climate research and make accurate weather forecasts, to name just a few of their benefits, space technology has given rise to countless other innovations that enrich our lives. Space is also playing an increasingly important role in activism and positive change. Satellite data makes it easier for institutions and authorities, as well as activists and citizen scientists, to expose enviroMission Control not only provides an overview of the offers, tasks and goals of the ESA and its institutions, but also of how space travel and space research enrich our everyday lives, and finally,Ā Austria’s contribution to space research and utilization.Ā nmental violations, promote climate protection and much more.

Some of the services needed for this are provided by the European Space Agency (ESA) ā€“ Europe’s gateway to space. The European Space Education Resource Office (ESERO) Austria, located in the Ars Electronica Center, is one of the agency’s many initiatives. ESERO Austria’s goal is to use the fascination of space to introduce young people to science and technology.
