Leo Mühlfeld (AT)
Artificial intelligence… This emerging key technology is in the fast lane and has already heralded the next societal change. We have to talk about it in order to be able to deal with these developments responsibly. Apart an overview in the context of a short presentation, the main focus will be on human-machine interaction, collaborative interaction, collaborative and creative processes. The critical reflection of these technologies will be the focus. Besides DeepFakes, algorithms on social media and deceptively real images, including AI-generated texts, we are also seeing the impact more and more often in social life. While technological development is being driven forward, politics and society need to ask the question of how to deal with it. To establish a social context, we put focus on communication and media consumption on the net, as this is where we find a confluence of several factors. Interactively, we will address the phenomenon of the “viral hit” and moral responsibility, prejudice, paternalism and major problems of current AI models. The Eurocentrism of artificial intelligences, resulting from data sets, is unfortunately only one example of many. Let us explore, learn and criticize artificial intelligence and develop a self-confident position in the discussion about this technology.
