Wednesday December 2nd – 16:30
Interdisciplinary exploration of digital medicine and the human body are core issues in the join project “STEAM Imaging III” by Fraunhofer MEVIS and Ars Electronica in collaboration with the International Fraunhofer Talent School and the School Center Walle, Bremen and the UCLA ArtSci Center, Los Angeles, USA. An integral part of the “STEAM Imaging III” residency program is the design of teaching modules for school students jointly created by artist Eli Joteva and scientists. The resulting online courses entitled “10 Evenings” take place from September to December 2020 and are connected to the classroom teachings at School Center Walle.
On December 2nd, the school students and you are invited to a virtual excursion to the Ars Electronica Center with highlights from our Deep Space 8K and “virtual anatomy room” programs. The application “The Universe Within” developed by the Ars Electronica Futurelab and the program “Cinematic Rendering” developed by Siemens Helthineers exploit the full potential of this virtual three-dimensional space and make exploration of the human body an impressive experience. Organs, muscles, bones, the cardiovascular system and the body’s network of nerves—layer by layer, extraordinarily detailed and breathtakingly beautiful 3D visualizations deliver ultra-close-up views inside the human body.
