Schaunberger Grabmal

Using the non-contact process of photogrammetry, researchers of the Ars Electronica Futurelab carefully translated one of the Schaunberg tombs from the collegiate church of Wilhering into a virtual object in order to turn it into an immersive 3D cultural experience in Deep Space 8K. The colossal format creates insights into high-resolved details that can no longer be perceived in their original form and thus can be made accessible to scientists from all parts of the world.
