This tour focuses on the installation „MegaPixels“ of our new „Understanding Artificial Intelligence“ exhibition. „MegaPixels“ is an independent art and research project that explores the origin and individual impact of image recognition data sets and the related ethics of privacy and its role in the expansion of biometric surveillance technologies. The project aims to provide a critical perspective on machine learning image data sets that might be overlooked by academic and industrially funded AI think tanks. Each dataset presented on this website will undergo a thorough review of its images, intentions and funding sources.
