Did you know that the gut and brain communicate with each other? This takes place via different channels, via bacteria, unicellular organisms, hormones, neurons and messenger substances. The gut-brain axis is not only responsible for feelings of hunger, it also controls our mood and way of thinking. Research is currently working at full speed and it is being discussed that our behavior depends on the presence or absence of intestinal bacteria and that cognitive stress sensitivity, depression and even pain perception are related to the intestinal flora!
