In a hybrid online setting, this talk will focus on the entanglements of contemporary pop collectives with social media, club, and live streaming in the age of COVID-19. “how we are feeling now” presents the artistic and strategic practices of four collaboratively structured pop, music, and club projects. Despite different goals and approaches, they share a commitment to collective, digital as well as inclusive approaches in pop and are precisely not oriented towards individualistic notions of neoliberal market economy.
