The remembrance of what happened during the Nazi era is an important bridge to the present and the future. The aim of this memory is to resist repression and forgetting through a public culture of remembrance and to actively counteract various isms in the present and the future. Bernhard Mühleder, as chairman of the Johann Gruber Platform and board member of the Gusen Memorial Service Committee, has been strongly rooted in remembrance work in the St. Georgen – Gusen – Mauthausen region for more than 15 years. In an interview with Sabine Leidlmair, he talks about his work and commitment in the NGO community and why this work is so important.
