Artists who have found a unique voice by placing AI at the core of their creative work talk to us about best practices and stories of failure, new possibilities and current limitations. In a series of presentations spanning digital art, music, film and poetry, we map the potential that AI brings to the art world—from digital twins to combining soul with the machine, from embracing the unexpected to projects that can finally see the light of day thanks to AI.   • Maria Arnal

    ES

    Maria Arnal Dimas is a Barcelona-based artist, singer and composer, renowned for her unique blend of avant-garde pop, electronics and traditional polyphonic music. Her work is distinguished by an exploratory spirit of sound, technology and art. In recent years, she has been widely recognized with numerous awards and has performed at some of the most iconic festivals, such as SĂłnar Festival and the TED Talks event in Vancouver, among others.

    Marta Verde

    ES

    Marta Verde Baqueiro is a digital artist, visualist and educator who hails from Galicia and is currently residing in Valencia. Her work explores the intersection of the organic and electronic, experimenting with noise, repetition, and real-time digital and analog image processing to create a flow between form and chaos. Marta collaborates with musicians and creatives, adapting to various media. She has presented at festivals like SĂłnar, LEV, MIRA, Primavera Sound, WOS, and Nos Em D’Bandada Porto. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at Berklee College of Music (Valencia Campus) and a Max/MSP Certified Trainer.

    Paul Trillo

    Paul Trillo is a director and video artist who challenges both his own curiosity and illusion with his visually inventive, conceptual, and technical films. His diverse body of work spans various genres and formats, infusing meaning and purpose into his experimental uses of technology and technique. While creating in-camera practical illusions, Paul is always looking for new ways to push the boundaries of what is possible.

    Sasha Stiles

    US

    Sasha Stiles is a first-generation Kalmyk-American poet, language artist, and AI researcher probing the intersection of text and technology. Widely recognized as a pioneer of generative literature, Stiles’ work has been featured by MoMA, Art Forum, Christie’s and Art Basel, and published and exhibited around the globe. A co-founder of theVERSEverse, she has served as Poetry Mentor to the AI humanoid BINA48 since 2018. Stiles resides near New York City with her husband and studio partner, Kris Bones.
