dialogue, massage, live music, video, and performance

A curated evening with care-focused and participatory activities, such as massages and mindfulness sessions featuring live music, movement workshop and performance, at the Stadtoase/Hauptplatz.

With these we hope to inspire discussions on increased community engagement and its well-being, while providing relaxation and stress relief in a daring, unorthodox communal setting. The evening, with the Chapel of City Voices, to nurture art-based social interactions and inspire transformative ideas.

    Jaskaran/trivium

    IN/AT

    Jaskaran is an artist, researcher, teacher based in Vienna and Linz. His* work emerges at the intersections of scientific, technical, artistic and cultural mediums spanning choreography, directing, writing, performance, music, film and interfaces. Through his Linz-based organization trivium, promoting research and cultural intersectionality in humans, he* has led projects like City Voices, L-INKED and place of belonging which address status quo on identity politics, and community building.

    Karin Schneider

    AT

    Karin Schneider is a contemporary historian and art educator. She is been the head of education at the Museums of the City of Linz – Lentos Art Museum and Nordico City Museum. She has been involved in various research projects dealing with the politics of history, memory, and cultural heritage, and exploring participatory methods of education.

    Laura Pudelek

    Laura Pudelek is a cellist, composer and performer.
    Her work is primarily dedicated to improvisation and experimental music and operates at the interface of music, dance and performance. She is particulary interested in the exploration of sound, the practice of collective working processes and open forms of composition. A wide spectrum of musical interest and taste characterizes her sound and awareness of form today.
    She studied Cello with a focus on improvisation/new music in Mainz and in Vienna.

    Stefan Gieber

    AT

    Stefan Gieber is a physiotherapist and osteopath with extensive experience in sports therapy, medical training, and holistic treatment. He studied at the Academy for Physiotherapy in Steyr, Austria, and later expanded his knowledge in sports therapy in Córdoba, Argentina. He completed his osteopathy studies at the International Academy of Osteopathy. Passionate about addressing the root causes of pain, Stefan combines physiotherapy and osteopathy to promote overall well-being.

The evening, curated by Jaskaran and trivium, falls under the umbrella “City Voices Stadt-Austausch”,  and is funded by the Land of Upper Austria – Culture (Darstellende Kunst), and City of Linz (Kultur). The event is connected to Chapel of City Voices , a project by trivium and Jaskaran. It is funded by BMKÖS – Kulturinitiativen, Museen, Volkskultur; and is established in association with Innovationshauptplatz Linz and she:works. The projects are part of long term socio-cultural initiative project “Trans(T*).DisCity/City Voices”.
