Ars Electronica Center, Deep Space 8K
Wed 4. Sep 2024 17:00 – 18:00

A major area of research within the Time-Based and Interactive Media Arts Department is the playful exploration of interactions between humans, sensors, and a high-resolution projection system. The result is a wide range of applications and artworks that invite the audience to experiment and interact, as well as live performances in collaboration with dancers and performers.

These recent works will be presented in Deep Space 8K of the Ars Electronica Center and in Studio 1 at Hauptplatz 8 as part of the Kunstuni Campus exhibition.

    Eternal Voices

    Teodor Dumitrache (RO)

Eternal Voices places you in a dynamic audiovisual realm. As you move, particles sway to music and react to your presence, leaving traces of your steps. This immersive, interactive space reflects a world of randomness, order and fragility.

  • Ripple

    Ripple

    Maria Orciuoli (IT)

Ripple transforms historical data and computation from instruments of control into tools of relationality. The purpose is to reflect on our place within the inherent chaos of existence and our attempts to impose order upon it.
