Countless satellites orbit earth. They constantly provide new images and insights about our planet and move it into ever new perspectives. The view from above is the starting point for an interdisciplinary view of the Earth and the implementation of these themes in design lessons. The teacher training introduces digital image processing tools and Earth observation programs. It presents analog image transfer techniques, as well as the photographic noble printing process called cyanotopy. In addition, one focus of the training is the viewing of satellite images themselves. A discursive approach will be tested which, in addition to knowledge transfer, will address aspects such as social competence, self-motivation and language development.
