(Linz, 19.11.2015) At the next Deep Space LIVE: Panoptikum this coming Thursday, November 19th at 8 PM, Gerfried Stocker, artistic director of Ars Electronica, Futurelab director Horst Hörtner and museum director Christoph Kremer will present selected online content about the fighting in Syria and Iraq and its various upshots including destruction, radicalization and waves of refugees. They’ll also elaborate on Project Mosul in which scientists are utilizing old photos to create 3-D computer models depicting destroyed cultural treasures.

“Panoptikum” was a mainstay of Austria’s TV lineup for over 20 years. Now, it’s been reconceived and reformatted as a monthly online magazine in which Ars Electronica Artistic Director Gerfried Stocker, Christoph Kremer, head of the Center, and a member of the Ars Electronica Futurelab will present a roundup of the latest developments in art, technology, science and society in Deep Space at the Ars Electronica Center Linz.
