Winter Wonderland in the Ars Electronica Center

(Linz, December 16, 2015) The Ars Electronica Center cordially invites you to partake of some holiday cheer this coming weekend, Saturday & Saturday, December 19-20, 2015. Visitors—both the young and the young-at-heart—can get a close-up look at the Center’s LED façade and learn some tricks to perform illuminated artistry of their own! The lineup of fun activities includes experimenting with magnetic electronic components and crafting Christmas tree ornaments in the Workshop of the Future. Interactive games in Deep Space call for bringing your whole body into play.

LED Façade Tour

This guided tour of the building’s façade lets you get a close-up look at the multicolored LED bulbs that illuminate the Ars Electronica Center’s outer shell.

Light Circus
Sunday, December 20, 2015 / 1-5:30 PM
This workshop staged by a group named Circus Lumineszenz offers fascinating insights into the amazing world of light & sound painting, and shows participant how to create their own lighting effects.

The Wonder of Christmas with littleBits

In this workshop, little kids and grown-ups alike will have a ball experimenting with the manifold possibilities of magnetic electronic components by littleBits.

Students at the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences’ Hagenberg Campus and Linz Art University have developed games and cool interactive artworks in which players have to get physical.
