Deep Space LIVE
Transmutations
Thursday, October 11, 2012 / 8-9 PM / Ars Electronica Center
(Linz, October 8, 2012) An experimental audiovisual performance will be the centerpiece of the next Deep Space LIVE this Thursday, October 11. Through the manipulation of a feedback loop consisting of image converters hooked up to cathode ray tube TV sets, Gregor Göttfert and Florian Voggeneder experiment with the reciprocal interplay of signal and interference, image and sound, and analog & digital visual aesthetics. The results are scanned from a monitor by a high-definition digital camera and projected onto Deep Space’s walls and floor. Part 2 of the program is a showcase of experimental videos by Christoph Frey.
