Interview with Martina Mara on autonomous vehicles on the Ars Electronica Blog.

(Linz, January 27, 2015) A colorful lineup is in store for visitors to the Ars Electronica Center this Thursday, January 29th. At 3 and 6:30 PM, Martina Mara, a media psychologist on the Ars Electronica Futurelab’s staff, will deliver the next talk in the Future Life series. She’ll reveal how we’ll be steering the automobiles of tomorrow, and what’s being developed in carmakers’ labs and workshops today. At the next Deep Space LIVE at 8 PM, Cathrin Hermann of the Linz Municipal Archive will screen historic images of the city to show how the cityscape has changed over the centuries. (Due to illness, Manuela Macedonia’s speech on stress in the brain is being postponed to next week.)

Future Life

Staff members of the internationally renowned Futurelab, Ars Electronica’s in-house R&D division, will talk about the areas their research is currently focused on and discuss fascinating futuristic visions that could be our everyday reality very soon.

Deep Space LIVE

The Ars Electronica Center hosts a Deep Space LIVE event every Thursday (except holidays) at 8 PM. Each presentation features ultra-high-definition imagery in 16×9-meter format and is accompanied by expert commentary, entertaining stand-up repartee, and musical improvisation. Whether great works from the history of art, space travel, journeys of discovery in the nanoworld, or a live concert is what you’ve come to behold, Deep Space LIVE stands for enlightening entertainment amidst breathtaking worlds of imagery. Holders of a valid Museum ticket are admitted free of charge.
