NEXTCOMIC Festival at the Ars Electronica Center
THU March 14 – SAT March 23 2019
(Linz, March 12, 2019) To mark the 10th anniversary of the NEXTCOMIC Festival, everything at the Ars Electronica Center from March 14 to 23 will revolve around interactive comics, or more precisely Augmented Reality Comics by the Linz School of Communication Design: using a mobile phone and an app, visitors will not only be able to view the real environment, but will also be able to expand it with new design elements. Short cut-out animations will then be created on Saturday, March 16, and on Thursday evening students of the Master School of Communication Design Linz will present a series of Augmented Reality posters in 16 x 9 meter format, telling about the process of comic design and animation.
