(Linz, 26.6.2022) Hyperpop overstatement, new wave minimalism, big pop gestures, detached coolness and performance. On Thursday evening, June 30, 2022, artist Crystn Hunt Akron will bring Deep Space to life as part of an album release show and present her new album “Lick my Fur.” Visitors can expect an evening at the intersection of music, new media, fashion, art, dance and performance. Artist Roland von der Aist will also be taking part. Deep Space Concert is supported by LINZ AG and HYPO Oberösterreich.
Crystn Hunt Akron
The Upper Austrian artist lived and worked for a long time as a singer, performer and composer in Barcelona and toured with the Catalan dance ensemble Sol Pico. Her first release as a solo musician came in 2010 with the avant-garde pop album “Fat Black Spider” under the pseudonym Madame Humtata. After further collaborations in the USA, Germany, England, Switzerland and Austria, Crystn Hunt Akron was part of the European Capital of Culture Rijeka 2020 with her electroacoustic composition installation “Ebriphon”. Her second solo album “Lick My Fur” will be released in 2022 on Seayou Records.

With the three new event formats “Deep Space Concert”, “Deep Space Lecture” and “Deep Space Experience”, the diverse possibilities of Deep Space 8K are used to offer artists, musicians and researchers the perfect setting.
