(Linz, Feb. 7, 2023) Off to the snow? Off to the south? Adventure-seekers know where to find what they’re really looking for. A visit to the Museum of the Future provides a change of pace during the semester break. And of course, the Ars Electronica Center is also part of “Museum Total”.

The world’s most famous painting is a public magnet – not only in the Louvre. In Deep Space 8K, Leonardo da Vinci’s mysterious smiling beauty can be marveled at on a surface of 16 x 9 meters, in high resolution and in finest detail.

From the microcosm to the human body to outer space: how does technology change our lives? An adventure that invites you to join in and think together with Tardi the tardigrade.

Workshop: The world in tons

from 4 to 8 years
What could be hidden in the garbage cans? Young explorers discover exciting stories and tasks about the important issues of our time and find out for themselves how things are connected.

Workshop: Circus Robotikus
WED 22.2.2023, 14:30-17:00
from 9 to 11 years
The Machine Learning Studio is home to a wide variety of machines. Young visitors get to know and control them and can also build one themselves. Clear the stage for the robots!

Museum Total 2023

Museum Total: Nine Linz museums invite visitors to take part in guided tours, workshops and special events during the semester break under the motto “1 Ticket – 9 Museums – 4 Days”. The Ars Electronica Center offers workshops for children of all ages, a variety of themed tours through the exhibitions and powerful presentations in Deep Space 8K, the only one of its kind in the world. Here, those hungry for discovery can explore exciting worlds in a playful and interactive way-from the human brain to neurotechnology, from the smallest creatures in moss to the major changes in the Earth’s ecosystem.
