Die Bildanalyse durch Deep Learning hat die KI drastisch verbessert, jedoch versteht die KI die Bedeutung von „Katze“ noch nicht. DM 1.0 ist eine interaktive Zeichenmaschine die mit einem abstrakten Konzept (diesmal einem Kreis) zu experimentieren. Der Mensch zeichnet durch die Drehbewegung seiner Gelenke, der Zeichenprozess von DM 1.0 ist eine Kombination aus zwei linearen Bewegungen. Diese Arbeit weist auf den Unterschied zwischen menschlicher Körperlichkeit und maschinelles Zeichnen hin.

We simply choose neither to praise AI, nor to curse it. Through a collaborative strategy with artists, scientists, engineers and creative people in many fields, we will deliberate carefully about the relationship between humans and digital technologies and how we should live in the AI age.
