Through videos and performances, I will attempt to find the common essence that I have with the various members of the “Forever 27 Club” – singers who died at the apex of their career – in the hope of finding the keys that will lead me to success. I started this work when I was 24 years old; I now only have two years and a few months left until I too reach that age. Here is my life’s punchline: three years to succeed or die.
Biography:
Born in 1994, Ophélie Demurger graduated from ENSBA Lyon in 2018. Through performances, installations and videos, she works on issues of incarnation and our relations to one another. Playing on her status as an artist, sometimes a fan, sometimes a star, she investigates the fascination between celebrities and their audience. She recently presented her work at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Lyon or Do Disturb! at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.
