In collaboration with Media Art Globale (MAG) festival, Connected Art Platform (CAP) & WIR group of the promising Indonesian artist, Budi Ubrux. It was showcased during the exhibition at MAG19,  Jakarta, Indonesia.

Through this app, art lovers can witness the painting come alive, offering an interactive digital experience about what it may have been like to be in the scene during the 21st century as depicted in the painting. It featured newspaper-wrapped heads as a metaphor for image-making desires. Ubrux adapts symbolic language for a new generation: Digital Avatar.

Biography:

Budi Ubrux (ID) rose to fame when he created his iconic visual with newspaper headlines. The entirety of his images on canvas express poignant thoughts. Utterly creepy & profoundly unsettling, the haunting images are reminiscent of mummies, initially showing repression and corruption, and later news media that tend to increasingly overwhelm and manipulate real facts, ultimately causing the human intellect to malfunction.
