Gluccie Collaborations (JP)

POSTCITY, First Floor, CAMPUS EXHIBITION @POSTCITY, located in CREATE YOUR WORLD AREA

The scene of Virus Buster Offline is laid in Japan in the near future. People can dive into the Internet world at will through the avatar with a physical networking system. But the Internet world has been infected by brutal computer virus which is called Code Violet. It is attacking many people who live in the Internet world. Players have to defeat Code Violet as soon as possible to accomplish their own purpose.

Game teaching materials for prevention of lifestyle diseases include board games and activity-meter type devices. The purpose of this project is to allow participants to actively increase their amount of physical activity and to change their behavior by using elements of gamification that can be enjoyed and learned. A participant wears an activity meter for a fixed period and accumulates numerical values. The amount of exercise changes the handicap at the start of the game, which affects the outcome of the game. With continuous participation, points accumulate based on the amount of activity and characters in the game also evolve. It is a device artwork resulting from collaboration in the field of medicine and art.
