Welcome to Ekklesia, the VR simulation study of the fictitious “Internationales Demografisches Institut.” In VR, each participant has their own playing field on which different buildings can be placed. Depending on their decisions, one of three narrators gives context about the selected buildings and fleshes out the story, individualizing the plot for every player. The gameplay gradually breaks down and is replaced by theatrical scenes.
