Ars Electronica Opening 2025 – It’s going to be musical again
(Linz, May 22, 2025) From September 3 to 7, Linz will once again become the vibrant center of the international media art scene. The festival week begins on Wednesday, September 3, at 7:30 p.m. with an opening event that will transform St. Mary’s Cathedral and its forecourt into stages for contemporary music, orchestral pieces, choral singing, organ music, and unusual performances.

Museum Arbeitswelt x Ars Electronica Solutions: LABOUR LAB opens in Steyr
(Linz/Steyr, May 20, 2025) Today the LABOUR LAB will open at the Museum Arbeitswelt in Steyr, an educational and experiential space designed to inspire young people to help shape a fair working world. The concept, design, exhibition architecture, and interactive elements were realized in close collaboration with Ars Electronica Solutions. SMESH OG was also involved.

Summer vacations at Ars Electronica Center
(Linz, May 19, 2025) The Ars Electronica Center and the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labor have put together a varied vacation program: From July 16 to August 22, 2025, children between the ages of six and thirteen can take part in creative, interactive workshops – children of AK members even attend the offers free of charge. New are all-day workshops with supervision.

Pianographique at EXPO 2025 in Osaka
(Linz/Osaka, May 13,2025) On the occasion of Europe Day on May 9, the European Union presented itself at the EXPO in Osaka with a diverse cultural program. The event was opened in the National Day Hall “Ray Garden” by Ars Electronica from Linz with Pianographique – a concert by pianists Maki Namekawa and Dennis Russell Davies, accompanied by real-time visualizations by visual artist Cori O’Lan.
2025 Ars Electronica Festival
From September 3 to 7, Linz will again become the hotspot of the international media art scene. Spread across festival locations throughout the entire city, exhibitions, performances, concerts, and conferences will be offered and mostly take place in the POSTCITY, the main location of the festival. The title is “PANIC – yes/no.”
