From major organs to the finest vessel, via spinal cord and aorta toward the brain, or along leg veins to toe bones: With the new version of the Virtual Anatomy program in the Ars Electronica Center’s Deep Space 8K, you can now experience the universe of the human organism on 16×9 meters even more impressively. Here, you can navigate through anatomical data, seamlessly switching between different layers and thus discovering even the most hidden corners of the human body. This is made possible by a combination of Siemens Healthineers’ Cinematic Rendering software and Virtual Anatomy from the Ars Electronica Futurelab. This long-term research project by the Ars Electronica Futurelab with Siemens Healthineers and the JKU Linz, provides fascinating insights into a future of anatomy studies made possible by the interplay between science, technology and art.
