One source of inspiration for the technical concept of this project was the thaumatrope — a disc with images on both sides that creates an optical illusion in the viewer’s eye through rapid rotation.
In this installation, the classic still images are replaced by screens with
animations: two tablets are mounted in a hollow glass cylinder with an integrated motor, whose speed of rotation can be controlled by the viewer.
