The kinetic sculpture Echoes of Ferro is an exploration of randomness. Can randomness be repeated? What defines a random event? To what extent can randomness be minimized?
An arm pulls up iron dust, shapes it into a drop-like form and then lets it fall back into its original form. It is a repetitive performance of randomness — a process between control and chaos. The system is constant, the result unique.
