Future of Inclusion Lab is a virtual programme centred on art, technology and community co-creation to address the challenge of social inclusion. The programme is led by the lead artist of American Arts Incubator – Austria, Rashin Fahandej at Ars Electronica. The programme provides technology and resource access to a mixed group of Austrian and Europe-based creatives, taking on the lens of “art as ecosystem,” creating a network of collaborations with a multiplicity of narratives that investigate social systems and occupy public sites as a critical discourse. The programme’s workshops centred on co-creation philosophies, using emerging media tools and platforms to co-create prototypes for immersive and poetic reflections and experiences on social inclusion.

During a 90-minute live stream on July 31 via Ars Electronica Home Delivery the Future of Inclusion Lab participants will present their creative results of a month long process using art, technology and community co-creation to envision radical philosophical shifts needed for change.

American Arts Incubator (AAI) is an international creative exchange programme developed in partnership with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by ZERO1. The programme utilizes community-driven digital and new media art projects to instigate dialogue, build communities, bolster local economies, and further social innovation.
