“Mission X – Train Like an Astronaut” is an international school class competition that has been in existence since 2011 and is held annually in 28 countries worldwide. NASA and ESA have developed a series of exercises and lessons that teach space knowledge, exercise, sports and the importance of healthy eating in daily life.
For several years now, the big final event of Mission X Austria has been taking place at the Ars Electronica Center. Due to this year’s exceptional situation caused by COVID-19, we unfortunately can’t invite the many school classes that participated this year to the Ars Electronica Center, but of course we’ll still have a special program that we’ll stream directly to you in the school classes. We are especially looking forward to the fact that Franz Viehböck, so far the only Austrian austronaut, will be part of this event again.
