(Linz, Nov. 9, 2020) Get to know Artistic Journalism, an approach that can help journalists work on complex topics, gain new insights into climate change using satellite images from the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Earth observation facility and, as part of the Ars Electronica Center’s new digital school program, attend an online workshop for the first time that gives students a basic understanding of artificial intelligence. Once again this week, Ars Electronica Home Delivery will be delivering fascinating insights from the fields of art, technology and society directly into the living room, kitchen, office, children’s room or classroom. The audience is once again invited to ask questions or simply join in the conversation via Skype or YouTube comments.

Ars Electronica Home Delivery is now offering programs that complement school lessons in an ideal way. The AI & YOU Workshop offers students and teachers an informative and entertaining excursion into the future in which they can learn interesting facts about artificial intelligence and even ask questions themselves.
ESA and Climate Change

ESA’s Earth observation facility in Frascati, Italy, hosts the Φ-Experience – a multimedia center that includes a facility for visualizing Earth observation data. The virtual presentation of Φ-Experience uses satellite images to reveal various aspects of climate change and provides insights into the human footprint on Earth.
Artistic Journalism: AI x Music

Hideaki Ogawa, Director of the Ars Electronica Futurelab, is currently teaching in the experimental online course “Artistic Journalism” at Japan’s Keio University SFC in Fujisawa. On Friday, as part of Ars Electronica Home Delivery, he’ll explain what the term “Artistic Journalism” actually stands for and, together with Ali Nikrang, researcher at the Ars Electronica Futurelab, he’ll take a closer look at the creative side of artificial intelligence in the AI x Music exhibition.
