Prof. Dr. René Riedl is professor for digital business and innovation at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. His main interest is the neuropsychological effects of human interaction with digital technologies – especially in relation to stress, trust and emotions. During a Science Talk at Deep Space, the author of the book “Digital Stress: How it ruins us and what we can do about it” will talk about how conscious use of information and communication technologies can reduce digital stress.

The music robot system Toc One explores the sound properties of physical objects. With its help, sounds and rhythms can be produced from countless materials – from drums to household objects to old car parts. The futuristic robot system was developed over three years and has already been tested in various settings, such as the Moog Festival, MIT Boston and the Elbphilharmonie concert hall.
