Humanizing Digital Culture with the New Creativity Agenda & the UNSDG’s

The rapid digitization of human culture intensifies the urgency for a corollary to humanize digital culture. Humanizing digital culture is critical to advance a New Creative Agenda and apply a creativity lens that augments and accelerates regeneration with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A creativity lens will unleash the best of human ingenuity and imagination to illuminate and accelerate progress across all SDGs. Aligned with the SDGs, Leonardo’s vision is to mobilize creativity for worldwide transformation. As pioneering creatives, we serve the global, collaborative movement to reimagine systems, networks and ideas. While the UN recognizes 2021 as the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development, we know that applying a creativity lens will activate the creative economy and drive the New Creativity Agenda for years to come. As the creative economy leads the new economy, building a creativity infrastructure will steer cross-sector priorities, policy, capacity and funding to humanize digital culture and shape global futures in which all can survive and thrive. The talk will be followed by a Leonardo Community Lounge open to the general public, with the goal of encouraging contributions to the cultural environments of different regions through transnational exchange and community building.
