Das etwa 30 Kilogramm schwere Buch, das aus über 4.000 Seiten Binärcode besteht, ist das Negativ meines Fotos, nämlich seine Ursprungsinformation: Diese Abfolge von 0 und 1 ermöglicht es mir, die enorme Menge an Informationen zu visualisieren, die bei jeder Aufnahme eines Fotos entstehen. Ich kann die Informationen in diesem Buch nicht verstehen, aber für einen Computer ist die Information im Buch das Foto.
Durch eine Reihe von Algorithmen wandelt der Computer den Binärcode eines Fotos in farbige Punkte um, damit ich das Bild betrachten kann. Diese Transformation beinhaltet oft eine Kompression der digitalen Fotografie, das heißt einen Informationsverlust, um die Größe der Datei des Fotos zu reduzieren.

Biografie:
Valerio Vincenzo lives and works between Paris and Milan. His Borderline, Frontiers of Peace project, ongoing since 2007, won the 2013 Prix Louise Weiss. The project has been exposed numerous times, in particular on the railings of the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris in 2015 at the Street Art Museum in St. Petersburg in 2016, other 30 cities in Europe. In 2019, 4 open air exhibits will take place in France and Germany.
