Bis 2030 werden geschätzte 5 Milliarden Menschen in den größten Städten der Welt leben. Basierend auf dem UN-Ziel für nachhaltige Entwicklung 11.3 wurde der internationale Preis Prix BLOXHUB Interactive ins Leben gerufen, um menschenzentrierte, digitale Lösungen für die globalen Herausforderungen der schnellen Urbanisierung zu ermöglichen. An der Schnittstelle von Raum, Technologie und Verhalten werden wir versuchen, neue Möglichkeiten zu erschließen, um digitale Technologie für lebenswertere Städte zu nutzen.

Indy Johar is an architect, co-founder of 00 (project00.cc) and most recently Dark Matter, Studio Master at AA. Indy, on behalf of 00, has co-founded multiple social ventures from Impact Hub Westminster to Impact Hub Birmingham, along with working with large global multinationals & institutions to support their transition to a positive Systems Economy. He has also co-led research projects such as The Compendium for the Civic Economy, whilst supporting several 00 explorations/experiments including the wikihouse.cc, opendesk.cc. Indy is an Advisor to the Earth Security Initiative and a non executive director of WikiHouse Foundation.

Most recently he has founded Dark Matter – a field laboratory focused on radically redesigning the bureaucratic & institutional infrastructure of our cities, regions and towns for a more democratic, distributed great transition. Dark Matter work with institutions around the world, from UNDP (Global), McConnell (Canada), TFL, GLA (London) to Bloxhub (Copenhagen)

He has taught, lecturedat various institutions from the University of Bath, TU-Berlin; Architectural Association, University College London, Princeton, Harvard, MIT and New School.

Mara Balestrini (ES)
Mara is a Human Computer Interaction (HCI) researcher and a technology strategist. She is the CEO of Ideas for Change, an innovation agency advising cities, businesses and institutions. Mara’s work sits at the intersection of civic technology, data, co-creation and Action Research. She has authored over 25 publications on these subjects and coordinated projects such as Making Sense EU, Bristol Approach and #DataFutures.  Mara is also a co-founder of SalusCoop, the first Spanish cooperative for citizens’ health data. Mara earned a PhD in Computer Science from the Intel Collaborative Research Institute on Sustainable Connected Cities (ICRI-Cities) at University College London (UCL). She also holds a BA in Audiovisual Communications and a MSc in Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media. She is Senior Faculty at the IAAC and a visiting lecturer at the the Royal College of Art (RCA). Her work has been awarded at ACM CHI, ACM CSCW, Ars Electronica, among others, and featured in international media such as the BBC, The Guardian, The Financial Times and El País.

Head of Interactive Spaces Urban Studio, The Alexandra Institute
Founder, Prix BLOXHUB Interactive

Liselott Stenfeldt is an architect and specialist in innovative use of digital technology in urban space. As Head of the Alexandra Institute’s Interactive Spaces Urban Studio, she works in the intersection between technology, architecture and behavior, with the aim to push the boundaries of how the built environment is being developed today. The studio gathers architects, designers, engineers and IT specialists, creating new meaningful concepts and solutions for the future cities and citizens.

Examples of projects that they have developed, is the large-scale immersive installation Nordlys, the citizen involving tool Digital neighborhood and the Door, which is an urban furniture using technology to connect people across countries.

Liselott has for many years been an active voice in spreading new knowledge and ideas within the field and has among other things founded the international Prize Prix BLOXHUB Interactive.

Liselott holds a MAA from Aarhus School of Architecture and has also a degree in Spatial design from The Design School in London and in Immaterial (digital) design from Malmö University (K3).

Manuela Naveau (AT)
Manuela Naveau (PhD), born 1972, is artist and curator of Ars Electronica Linz. She teaches at University of Art and Design Linz. Her research investigates networks and knowledge in the context of computer based artistic practice.
