Mit diesem Projekt sollte das Konzept des Bodypaintings durch den Einsatz von Technologie erweitert werden, um neue Erfahrungen und neue Gespräche zu ermöglichen. In einer Iteration des Projekts zeichneten die indigenen TeilnehmerInnen zunächst die in ihrer natürlichen Umgebung vorhandenen Elemente auf, animierten und projizierten sie dann auf ihren Körper und machten ein Video der Ergebnisse. In einem anderen führten sie live digitales Bodypainting mit Zeichentabletts durch. Wenn sie bei der Ausstellung ihrer Arbeiten anwesend sind, fördern sie auch die Interaktion mit der Öffentlichkeit, indem sie indigene Motive projizieren, mit denen die Menschen ihre Fotos aufnehmen und anschließend in den Instagram-Account des Projekts hochladen.

Biografie:

Bruno Gomes is a well-known Brazilian illustrator and teacher of digital and traditional graphic arts who has a long track-record co-creating work with Indigenous communities. Bruno’s residency was with the Karapotó Plak-ô community, municipality of São Sebastião, Alagoas, 7-18 June 2018. This is a community that has had to fight for a very long time to regain their lands and reconnect themselves with their ‘earth’.
