The POSTCITY Light Ticket gives you access on the respective day to all POSTCITY exhibition areas, in particular to the ground floor, basement and rooftop. Concerts, conferences and evening events are not included.

Free entry

Single tickets for conferences and symposia give visitors access to the discursive events of the Ars Electronica Festival. Admission to the POSTCITY exhibition areas is not included.

Tickets for symposia, conferences and the Prix Forum are only available at POSTCITY. No ticket sales online.

* The ticket for the Big Concert Night gives you access to both the Big Concert Night and the Ars Electronica Nightline. With purchasing a Big Concert Night your seat is granted. Subject to availability, holders of a FESTIVAL- or ONE-DAY-PASS additionally have to get a free reservation voucher which is available at the POSTCITY INFO Desk.

A festival for music and AI
It is this very encounter between human creativity and technical perfection to which the first AI x Music Festival, organized by Ars Electronica and the European Commission as part of the STARTS initiative, is dedicated. From September 6 to 8, 2019, Ars Electronica will be bringing together musicians, composers, cultural historians, technologists, scientists, and AI developers from all over the world in Linz to discuss the interaction between people and machines through concerts and performances, conferences, workshops, and exhibitions. On Saturday, 7 the “AIxMusic Festival” will move to the monastery St. Florian. Moderated lectures, talks, demonstrations and concerts will be on the programme throughout the afternoon and evening. Tickets are available at POSTCITY, online or on site at the AIxMusic INFO Desk in St. Florian.

A fleet of busses will provide transfer directly from POSTCITY to the monastery of St. Florian: permanent between 13:15 — 22:30 (approx. every 15 min). Ticket prices include shuttle transfer.

Tickets for a WE GUIDE YOU Tour can be booked online or on site at the WE GUIDE YOU Desk at POSTCITY. Please arrive 5 minutes before the tour starts at the WE GUIDE YOU MEETING POINT (1st floor of POSTCITY). Holder of a FESTIVAL- or ONE-DAY-PASS can book a WE GUIDE YOU Spotlight Tour at a reduced rate.

Big Concert Night

Ars Electronica holds a limited number of seats available for FESTIVAL- and ONE-DAY-PASS holders. Therefore the FESTIVALPASS itself is not an admission ticket, nor does it guarantee that seats will be available. If you want to go to the Big Concert Night, you have to get a reservation voucher at the POSTCITY INFO Desk (subject to availability).

Basement Stage at POSTCITY

Due to the spatial conditions the Basement Stage at POSTCITY allows admission to only a limited number of visitors. Admission will only be granted upon presentation of a reservation voucher. Reservations vouchers can be collected at the POSTCITY INFO & TICKET Desk upon presentation of a valid FESTIVAL or ONE-DAY-PASS.

Deep Space 8K

Please note the limited capacity at Deep Space 8K at the Ars Electronica Center. Tickets can be reserved at the Ars Electronica Center Infodesk 30 minutes before the event starts.

“AIxMusic Festival” at the St. Florian Monastery

Due to local conditions and the nature of the events taking place, the admission can be interrupted for a moment. As soon as visitors leave the premises, the admission of new visitors will be resumed. Please follow the instructions of the staff on site. Thanks for your comprehension.

Parts of the POSTCITY exhibitions are only open until 6:30 PM on Thursday and Friday. Free admission for children under 6 years of age, holders of a Kulturpass “Hunger auf Kunst und Kultur” (1 Ticket per person) as well as for the accompanying person of people with assistance needs.

No, unfortunately not! The next ATM as well as a cloakroom is located in the passenger hall of Linz main station.

No! You can buy your ticket directly at the TICKET & INFO Desk at the 1st floor of POSTCITY.

Which ticket is best for me?

• The FESTIVALPASS includes entry to all events and locations from September 5 — 9, 2019.
• The ONE-DAY-PASS includes entry to all events and locations on the respective day.
• All events can be booked singularly.
• The POSTCITY Light Ticket allows admission to all exhibition areas of POSTCITY (especially the themed exhibition in the POSTCITY Bunker).

How do I get my ticket booked online?
FESTIVAL- and ONE-DAY-PASSES booked online can be collected at the POSTCITY PRE-PAID Desk on the 1st floor upon presentation of your valid ID-card and your booking confirmation. With an online booked POSTCITY Light Ticket you can go directly to the entrance.

What forms of payment are accepted at POSTCITY?
In POSTCITY payment can be made by credit card (MasterCard, VISA), debit card (Maestro) or in cash (Euro).

I have lost my ticket!
Ars Electronica is not responsible for the loss of your tickets. A replacement free of charge will not be granted.
