One highlight of the Ars Electronica Futurelab‘s extensive anniversary program was the Night Performances in Deep Space 8K. Visualized sound and electric noise from the render engines of artists and Deep Neural Networks immersed the packed Deep Space in a charged atmosphere on the evening of September 9. Numerous guests – partners and former employees of the lab – joined the team in celebrating this very special day. In the audiovisual performance [ˈdaːzaɪn], everything revolves around the dissolution of human relationship from its inherent physicality into a virtual, digital space. – An exciting phenomenon of our time. Embedded in a technical, symbolic and metaphysical universe, the performance by media artists Arno Deutschbauer (Ars Electronica Futurelab) and Micha Elias Pichlkastner follows an abstract story and tells of separation and pain, but also of the return to a more natural state.
