19:30 – 20:30
Topic Tour
Foyer

Artificial intelligence versus human intelligence. What are the differences, what are the similarities? How do machines “think”, how do they learn and what distinguishes us from machines? What does the rapid progress in the field of AI mean for us all?
During this guided tour of the Understanding AI exhibition, you will gain a good insight into the technical background of AI systems and learn about creative applications.

PLANet B
20:30 – 21:30

Nothing dominates the media landscape at the moment as much as the topic of climate change. On the one hand, we can better understand the effects of climate change thanks to new technologies, but on the other hand, technology is also part of the problem.
In this topic tour, we talk about the Anthropocene, the era in which human activity has become the most significant factor in biological, geological and atmospheric changes. We show the observable and measurable changes on our globe with the help of satellite technologies, data analysis and visualization strategies. Questions and discussions on the topic are welcome, rapid action is explicitly requested.

Kinderprogramm

Kid’s Research Lab
18:00 – 00:00
Young visitors have time and space to play and discover in our Kid’s Research Lab. Whether digital, analog, natural or artificial – for children, the world is a single laboratory in which every moment can become an experiment and every path a journey of discovery.

A World Made to Measure

18:00 – 22:00
Open Workshop
Foyer

The Earth is around 4.6 billion years old – impressive when you consider that we humans have only been around for 200,000 years.Nevertheless, we are changing our planet so radically that you can even see it from space – because satellites show us the world from above. In this workshop, we will create our own picture of the world by measuring it with our hands and feet and sensors. How would you change the world to make it the best place in the universe?

20:00 – 20:30 and 22:00 – 22:30
The Organ of Radical Care project by Charlotte Jarvis and Dr. Patricia Saragueta uses new scientific findings to grow a collaborative uterus from the donated menstrual blood of several people. This concept, which, if successful, will be a scientific world first, is intended to help women worldwide to take control of their own bodies.
