Two hackers, known as greentheonly and DamienXVI, managed to get hold of a development version of Tesla’s autopilot hardware. Using it, they were able to get a rare look at what the system looks like and how it handles things while under operation. The accompanying video shows a drive through Tokyo and permits the work of the developers to be studied more precisely. Colored lines and surfaces divide up the objects in the environment, as the road has software that identifies what is labeled in green here.
