“Often the future appears as a distant planet, but in fact we should understand it as a parallel world to the present.”
Since 2021, Denise creates captivating future narratives, concepts and strategies for participatory prototypes together with Ars Electronica Futurelab partners. She draws on a rich repertoire of artistic methods and tools from Art Thinking, Future Narrative and Speculative Design, which primarily help to turn initial ideas into concrete visions and actions for the future.
Denise holds a Bachelor’s degree in (de)Fine-Arts from Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. However, instead of following traditional art disciplines, she was always more attracted to her talent for communication, because Denise is pure extraversion. She thrives on interaction and fosters community between people from different backgrounds through her artistic work. Her projects unite entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, activists and citizens to engage in a dialog about future topics. Her primary goal is to make complex innovations in art and technology accessible to everyone – and to collectively generate new knowledge.
