In the audiovisual project t i m e l e s s n e s s Thomas Radlwimmer plays with the possibilities of merging image and music.
Unlike a music video, the images are shot first, and the approach is very meditative – starting with the exposure. The camera is placed in the same location for up to 24 hours, observing the subtle changes in nature. The play of clouds, the change of light, the intensity of the Milky Way. A time-lapse of five to ten minutes is distilled from the recording. Various musicians from different genres are invited to improvise or compose to such a video – in any case to react musically.
Inside the Deep Space a selection of these videos will be presented and projected in 8K, improvised live to a new video by Norbert Trawöger.
