Benjamin Franklin already said that time is the substance of which life is made. Albert Einstein, on the other hand, said quite pragmatically: “Time is what you read on the clock.” So what is time? For physicists, time is simply a dimension that has a very clear direction. Space and time are one. From a philosophical point of view, time can be seen in a completely different way.

On this evening we will approach the mystery of time together with astrophotographer Dietmar Hager and take a look at what time means in the infinite vastness of the universe, how long a blink of an eye is for us humans on earth and what it means in comparison from the perspective of the stars. Afterwards, we will embark on another journey into the fascinating worlds of the depths of space.
