In Deep Space 8K you can see important cultural monuments. Today we take you on a journey to Neolithic Scotland: The monumental tomb Maeshowe is one of the most beautiful Neolithic buildings in Northwest Europe and was built about 5,000 years ago. New Lanark was a cornerstone of the Scottish cotton spinning mill and is cited as an example when it comes to increasing productivity and at the same time improving the treatment of the workforce. 3D laser scans not only document the extent of an object’s decay, the resulting point clouds also provide a helpful data basis for reconstructing the original condition.
