All times are given in Central European Time (CET / UTC +1).

Interdisciplinary research into digital medicine and the human body are core themes of the “STEAM Imaging III” collaborative project by Fraunhofer MEVIS and Ars Electronica in collaboration with the International Fraunhofer Talent School, the Schulzentrum Walle, Bremen and the UCLA ArtSci Center, Los Angeles, USA.

An integral part of the residency program “STEAM Imaging III” is the design of teaching modules for students, which were developed jointly by the artist Eli Joteva and scientists. The resulting online courses entitled “10 Evenings” will take place from September to December 2020 and are linked to the lessons at the Walle School Center.

On December 2, we invite the students to take a virtual excursion to the Ars Electronica Center with unique highlights from our “virtual anatomy room” inside Deep Space 8K.

The “Human Universe” application specially developed by the Ars Electronica Futurelab and the “Cinematic Rendering” program developed by Siemens Helthineers, fully exploit the potential of the walk-in experiential space and make discovering the human body an impressive experience. Whether organs, musculature, bones, the cardiovascular system or the nervous system – layer by layer the human interior is explored with memorable and vivid 3D visualizations.
