Ars Electronica Home Delivery not only presents exciting and inspiring conversations with artists and creatives, but various associations and organisations are also welcome guests in the At home with… studio to talk about their work, visions and experiences. This time, ULF, the Independent State Volunteer Center, is visiting as a cooperation partner for the symposium “The Civil Society of the Future” as part of the Ars Electronica Festival 2020.
As the central point of contact and as a competence centre for voluntary activitiesin Upper Austria, ULF has been advising, placing and supporting volunteers and organisations since 2008. The goals are to promote solidarity and mutual support in our society, to strengthen the cohesion between generations, cultures and social classes, to better utilise the potential of elders in the post-working phase, to inspire young people for voluntary work and to ensure that formal volunteer activities are also accessible to people with a history of migration. Furthermore, in all activities they are committed to strengthening team building between full-time and voluntary workers and to further develop and continuously improve the framework conditions for voluntary work on a broad basis.
