Within its Meet the Media Guru format, MEET presents a talk by William Myers about the emerging practice of integrating biological processes into art and digital creativity. An exhibition curator and lecturer based in Amsterdam (NL), Myers is the author of two widely acclaimed books about the intersections of design, art, and science: Biodesign and BioArt.
Designed and promoted by MEET Digital Culture Center, Myers’ talk will explore how the Nature/Tech hybridization may disrupt our concepts of identity, nature or the definition of life. Are digital technologies a resource to build a “biobased” society? William Myers will dig into these topics during a lecture at MEET headquarters in Milan (IT), both onsite and online. The lecture is part of the program MEET designed as a S+T+ARTS Regional Center. It aims to explore the challenges of sustainable innovation in order to reduce the Italian and European digital divide while promoting a transdisciplinary cross-fertilization between different industries and contexts.
