This project extends Tarik Ahlip’s study of sculptural form as a medium for exploring ontologies and socialised ideals of nature. Drawing on his background in architecture and interest in film, Ahlip’s worked with Tactical Space Lab to explore the figurative dimensions in sculpture within a cinematic composition of scenes in VR.

Biography
Tarik Ahlip (AU) completed a BFA at COFA, University of New South Wales, in 2006. He joined Cracknell & Lonergan Architects in 2012 after completing an Architectural degree at UNSW. He was an artist in residence at Parramatta Artists Studios from 2012 – 2016. His first solo exhibition was Negative at Chapter House Lane, Melbourne, in April 2015. His first solo exhibition in Sydney was Neuro P.2 Lov at Alaska Projects, Kings Cross in March 2016, followed by Womanchrist in October 2017. Represented by Alaska Projects.
